About Joel

Joel Block, CPA, CSP is a long-time venture capitalist and hedge fund manager (fancy financial language meaning he is a professional investor) who lives in a Shark Tank world like what you see on TV. Companies regularly pitch ideas to Joel’s company, looking for business capital so he has learned to spot likely winners – frequently in 3 minutes or less and sometimes in under 30 seconds.

He has been speaking on business and financial topics for over 15+ years and during the course of his career, Joel has put together more than 40 different companies; he has advised hundreds more and he has taught thousands of people innovative ways to think about leadership, sales, negotiation, and money. He has had a few successful exits from these companies too, including one that he sold to a Fortune 500. Joel is a regular speaker on Wall Street and in Silicon Valley sharing monetary strategies with the nation’s financial elite.

Joel’s understanding of business building is evidenced by how artfully he breaks down complex topics so that everyone in his audiences can understand them. His mission is to help entrepreneurs (including speakers) succeed in business so they can live the American dream and then continue the cycle of prosperity by paying success and mentorship forward.
